IN FLAMES Bassist: 'It's A Little Weird Having Two Session Guitarists'

IN FLAMES bassist bassist Peter Iwers has posted the following message in the "Peter's Corner" section of the band's official web site:

"It's been a while since I wtote here due to various personal reasons, but I'd just like to say that I love you all and thank you for the support you have shown us on this tour. It's a little weird having two session guitarists [on the band's current North American tour], as you all probably can imagine, but we've had a lot of fun on this run. Don't worry, as commented before, there are no lineup changes going on whatsoever. With the risk of repeating myself: Jesper's [Strömblad] break is due to personal reasons and Björn [Gellote] just became a father for the second time, and they will both come back for the upcoming shows next year. Playing with such great musicians as Niklas [Engelin, ENGEL, ex-GARDENIAN] and Henrik [Danhage, EVERGREY] has been an honor and inspired us all. It's even fun to soundcheck:) Even so, I can't wait for next year's touring cycle to start with Björn and Jesper back. So, until then, have merry X-mas and a happy new year and I'll see you all next year."

IN FLAMES' new single — for the new album's title track, "Come Clarity" — is seeing success at Active Rock radio with the launch of the first U.S. commercial campaign in the band's storied history. The video for the single was directed by Lex Halaby (MUDVAYNE, HOOBASTANK, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) and has been posted online for viewing at this location.

"Come Clarity", the highly-influential Swedish band's debut for Ferret Music, took the hard rock community by storm upon its release, debuting at No. 58 on The Billboard 200, with first-week sales of nearly 25,000 copies. The highest-charting record in both the band and label's sales history, "Come Clarity" has sold more than 110,000 copies in the United States to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
